Price : US $380.00

Up for auction is a great condition Washburn T-24 Taurus bass, which is definitely one of the better Washburn models.
Specs include:
Stained mahogany body
Neck-through construction
Multi-laminate neck
Grover bass tuners
ABT Jazz Pickups
Fretless neck with side dot markers
Washburn doesn’t directly make fretless models of this bass, so it’s a special order and therefore very rare.
I highly recommend this model because it is the epitome of great value. It won Bass Player Magazine Editor’s Choice award for outstanding construction, and it is the cheapest neck-through-design bass you can get! This would be perfect for someone starting out on fretless, and I even had a professional bassist ask if I would sell it to him when he heard me play it at church (unfortunately he is no longer around).
The thing I started loving about this bass is that it has a dark, powerful sound you wouldn’t expect from a fretless. At first I was put off by this, but now I realize this is exactly what I wanted. Combining growl and presence with a standup-ish sound is just freakin’ amazing! Also, when you turn down the tone knobs, you can get the classic jazzy fretless “bwah” sound, so it’s win-win in the sound department.
The biggest problem I’ve read about these basses is that they usually come with a poor setup, but since it doesn’t have frets, I have the strings as low as humanly possible with no problems at all, and it still sounds smooth.
