Ken Smith BTG 6 6 String Electric Bass
This bass is no longer for sale (sold on 2007-09-13)
Price : US $2,500.
Welcome! You are bidding on a 1990, classic Ken Smith BTG-6 six string electric bass, one of the original 'Big Head' Smiths. This beautiful bass is owned by monster bass guitar artist Butch Ramsey (check him out on YouTube [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaBsm37oD9k ] playing his Performance Jazz bass, also for sale today on eBay). Here are the particulars: this gorgeous BTG-6 sports a mahogany body with an Ebony top, 5 piece neck-thru neck design (maple and mahogany) with an ebony fingerboard. Six strings and 24 frets let you play as high as you want, and the body cut and smooth neck-thru design allow easy access to those last few frets.
The controls are simple and elegant: volume, pickup pan, and a stacked bass and treble knob are all there is to master. Custom Smith electronics provide excellent punchy tone with crisp highs and deep bottom end that doesn't muddy out (unless you want it to!). Auction also includes the solid but definitely used original Smith teardrop hardshell case.
This beauty retails for over $4000.00 ( http://www.kensmithbasses.com/models/neckthru/bsrgnbtg.html ) and is worth every bit of it.
Any question is welcome and will be answered promptly. Buyers must have a PayPal account. Insurance is optional, but I suggest you purchase it.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
