I'm selling my beloved Steinberger Spirit bass, since I finally bought a 5-string (also Steinberger Spirit!) and don't need two basses. I'm the original owner and have had it for about 4 years. I don't play in a band, so it's never been taken out to gigs. Played at home only.
The bass is in very good condition. It has some hairline scratches in the clear coat from normal finger playing. Also, there's a 1-inch scratch on the back, only in the clear coat (does not go through the paint). Can probably be buffed out, if it bothers you.
The bridge has a DB-tuner, which can drop the E string to D or even as low as a B with the flick of a lever, and then bring it right back in tune.
The action is low and the bass is really easy to play. The pickups are EMG-designed.
EXTRAS: The bass comes with a $30 standard string adapter which I bought sepatrately. It attaches to the end of the neck without any screws and enables the bass to be used with standard, single-ball strings. Also, it comes stringed with a recent set of Dean Markley Blue Steel strings, medium gauge (45-105), which sound pretty darn good. The original gig bag is also included (not pictured).
In addition to the shipping options described, I will also accept local pickup. I'm in Montreal, Canada.
