Guild Fretless 8-String Bass
First, I don't know a whole lot about this instrument, it looks to be a mid-70s to early 80s Guild with the body being similar to a JS II. The serial # inscribed into the shielding on the inside of the electronics cover reads, '4 (or Y) ODL 2996857.' I've had the bass for ten years and purchased it because of its monster sound and clean playability. The fretboard is free of nicks and has no buzzes. The bass comes with the hard case shown in the pictures. If you want to see more pictures or have any questions, please e-mail me. Shipping to US only.
Finish: Tobacco Burst, in good shape and retaining a good gloss. One nick next to the pickups, as seen in photos. The rest of the body has only minor wear marks and blemishes.
Material: The body is 1-piece and appears to be Mahogany (close-grained and fairly hefty in weight), the neck is 3-piece maple, the fingerboard is rosewood, and the hardware is nickel.
Electronics: Passive, 2-pot system

so ago) that didn't really have any info on it. I liked i

That looks like an Aria Cardinal body, similar control layout and cavity. This has a P-bass style pick-up, I usually see Jaguaresque PU's that are staggered, but in a larger Humbucking style cover. The headstock does not match any Guild I've seen, although it is the logo of the high-end Guilds. They used "Open-Book", "Crested", and some odd-shaped designs, but not like this. My Aria Bass has a "W" shaped crown instead of the single dip. Would have liked to examine the logo. Interesting beast in any-case.
