Hello! Up for auction is a natural finish, 4-string, acoustic-electric bass, by Michael Kelly. Model - Firefly 4N --- Serial # 06070133. To be straight forward. I won this on Ebay about a month and a half ago. This bass was supposed to be a factory second. It was Supposed to have a dual truss-rod; it is a single. It was Supposed to be structurally sound with only minor finish blemishes; not the case. Finish-wise, this is a Very nice looking instrument (least ways, I haven't found any of the blemishes). Structurally, it is a very sound, sturdy instrument; HOWEVER, there is very noticable fret buzz at the 12th, 13th, 14th fret on the G-string, and the 13th, 14th fret on the D-string. I took it in to my local music store luthier and he loosened the truss rod enough to make it so there is only a slight buzz now. Because of this, the action is somewhat high. He said it was because it was the way the neck was set and that nothing could be really done. Who knows? If someone else has the where-with-all to repair this bass, then by all means have at it. Otherwise, it is still a very nice bass and would make an excellant starter bass at a rediculous low price. It is a usable bass, just not for me. So, send all ???, bid, bid, bid, and thanks for looking ! PS- no case included. ***Also, there is no cover for the 9 volt battery chamber!***
