Up for auction is a MTD Beast in excellent condition. Virtually unplayed. This is a rare custom color, only offered in the initial runs, which were short lived in itself. This one was hand made in the Czech republic before Michael moved production to Korea to cut costs i am told. Plays awesome and sounds even better.

MTD Beast Basses are hand made in the Czech Republic to Michael Tobias Design's specifications.
MTD Beast basses are available in 4 or 5 string models and feature an ergonomically carved poplar body, bolt on eastern hard rock maple neck, two-octave maple fingerboard and a 'relieved' neck heel for a 'neck through' feel.
Color options for the lacquer finish are ebony, ivory, red, black snow pearl, and white snow pearl.
The pickups, custom made by Bill Bartolini, are J-style with exposed pole pieces and have steel and ceramic magnets. The electronic configuration is passive volume, volume, tone.
Hardware includes a custom made bridge by Hipshot.
All MTD basses are delivered with MTD strings.

Hi! I bought this one just about 3 years ago (only in black snow pearl color). This bass is awesome! Great sound, powerfull and concrete, really by your hand. Iam universal bass player - using pick, fingers, slap and tap and this bass aet it all and make a really fine sound. I try six another basses and this one always wins! I have only one question - on the back of the headstock is written \\\"Handcrafted..... for\\\" and a signature. Whom this signature is? Thanks for reply on lasy@L7.cz
