Up for your consideration today is a Spector NS-2A bass in very nice condition. Manufactured in Japan by Kramer, in affiliation with Ned Steinberger I believe (if the serial# NS 6044 is any indication), ca. 1986.
Quality hardware&electronics, active emg’s P/J pickups providing a nice thick low end with plenty of punch via independent volume controls, bass cut/boost, treble cut/boost. Heavy duty Spector bridge as well as very nice smooth turning Schaller tuners. This piece has plenty of sustain as well.
Very comfortable neck thru contoured body sports a high gloss fire engine red finish which still shows very nicely. There is one photo that did not come out so great. It’s just to display the body contour. Nice straight neck profile with rosewood board and pearl dot inlays, similar to a P-bass but not too chunky. Overall some minor play wear, a couple of dings and some faint surface scratches, these were very hard to capture in the photos and are hardly noticeable unless looked at upon close inspection. A bit of sticker residue on the back electronics control plate and missing one screw, but again just cosmetic.
Comes with a non original hard case with a very spacious accessories compartment. It has seen better days but serves the purpose and protects the bass as it should. I had to modify the interior a bit to conform to the body and one of the latches was replaced as well.
If you have any questions, feel free to email and I’ll be sure to get back to you promptly.
