This auction is for a rather easy project 4 string bass. It was constructed with an Alembic Stanley Clark bass in mind. This is NOT an Alembic bass! I am putting this bass up for auction because I'm cleaning shop and can't find the time or money to put it back together. It has a short 30 1/4' scale, and weighs approx. 8 lbs 'completely assembled'. It has a very thin (1 7/16' at the nut) bolt-on neck with an ebony fingerboard, abalone dot inlays, no fret wear, adjustable truss rod and 2 carbon fiber inserts for strength and stiffness. As you can see in the photos, this is a project bass. It comes with an installed Bartolini 5.4 preamp. (3) Volumes, Bass, Mid, and Treble, with a (3) position mid frequency shift switch, and an added tone switch. It can also switch between 9 and 18 volt operation. It comes with a chrome Rogue bass pickup. It needs Status Graphite Headless Bridge/Tuners, a 4-String Anchor and strap knobs. All holes are already drilled and threaded for these parts so assembly will be a breeze. It also needs a set of Jazz pickups. I had a set of Bartolini Jazz 9CBJD-1 in there. Bartolini pickups are designed to replace standard/OEM Jazz pickups so you'll probably be ok no matter what Jazz pickups you'd like in there. It comes with a removable back-pad. Because of the short scale and headless design, this bass fits into a standard rectangular guitar case. The body width is 12 3/4'. This auction does not include a case or gig bag.
