Awesome Alembic Spoiler bass from the 70s or 80s - not sure of the year. Awesome sounding and playing bass. 32' scale. Active electronics. This is definitely a player's bass. The neck has plenty of wear on the back, but it is still nice and relatively smooth. At some point the finish on the body was sanded off. I always assumed that the body had been painted at some point but I am not sure. There are marks from the sanding on the front and back of the body. If someone wanted to refinish this they could have a really nice bass. I contacted Alembic years ago and they said that they could refinish it.
I bought this bass in the present condition over 10 years ago, played a few gigs with it, recorded a few albums and then put it in the closet. After 10 years of inactivity it is time for this bass to go to someone that will use it. This is the best sounding bass I have ever owned. Comes with an older Levy's gigbag. It currently has straplocks on it. I don't have the original strap buttons. Let me know if you have any questions.
