Up for grabs is a sweet Washburn XB925, a bass that is no longer in production so this is one of the only places you're going to find it! When it was built it was done right here in the USA. And when it was sold new, the price tag was $1700!!!
I am the second owner. I purchased this bass about 2 years ago and have used it very limitedly in the studio. Since she doesn't really get much use from me I figure I'll try to get her into the hands of someone who'll take full advantage of this amazing instrument.
Cosmetically, this bass is MINT! Mechanically, MINT! Electronically, it's as good as MINT with the only flaw being a slight crackle that comes through the amp from turning the treble knob. Ofcourse it could use a setup and polishing and some new strings, but the only reason is because it hasn't been done since February. I always try to stay on top of maintence on all my basses and I only buy basses that have been maintained immaculately, which is why this one is in such great condition.
There is no limit to the sounds you can get out of this beauty with all the controls at your finger tips and the Bartolini active preamp and 2 Bartolini soapbar pickups sound more than amazing. Every sound is picked up and enhanced beautifully all the way from the 24th fret on the G-string to the open B-string. The neck is very easy to maneuver around for a 5-string.
