This is a B8S model from around 1986 and this thing sounds incredible. Seen onstage by the likes of Nick Lowe, Doug Pinnick of Kings X and even Cheap Trick's Tom Petersson used one for awhile. I wish I could use it more but it doesn't really fit what I'm playing these days. Excellent overall condition. This must be a special order because it is a flame maple top on a mahogany body where most of these are solid flame maple bodies bookmatched together. EMG pickups and they are spaced a little closer than others I've seen on these B8S basses. I will include a fresh set of strings. I do not have the original case but I will include the Hamer case it came in and pack it well. shipping will be $50 fixed to the lower US.

I've had some inquiry as to the pic with the piece of paper under the E string. I was using this as a way to determine if the bass octave and root string on the E were at the same height. It just felt weird at first. As it turns out, it is a different feel to play one of these but after about a set, I got used to it. The octave string is a 45 and the regular E is a 105 so you can see where the adjustment to feel would come in. Bass plays great. I always used a pick with this to keep the string travel to a minimum as this keeps the strings from vibrating into each other and/or the fret itself. Just wanted to clarify in case some one else was curious if there was alot of string rattle and there isn't any at all when I play it.
