Gorgeous, classic design. One could admire this beauty as a work of art, but it must be played!
Very well balanced instrument. Professional high quality finish that Rickenbacker is famous for, with some minor surface wear; a bit of paint flaked off body next to the bridge (somewhat common issue) which was covered in black sharpie when I got it (never bothered me), plus a small scratch on the back of the neck behind the 9th fret. I could not capture these in photos.
How is the TONE? ......Rich, Punchy and very versatile! I have it strung with D'Addario Chrome Flats for a punchy, old school deep bass tone (think ''Penny Lane''). String it up with rounds for a monster rock grind. Listen to McCartney, then Squire / Geddy. Same bass different strings (and amps, fingers, effects etc...but you get the point). Three sets of strings included; Fender Nickel Rounds, Fender Med Flats and Ken Smith Rock Masters.
This beautiful instrument has been well cared for and all original except for the vintage style knobs. Original knobs are included with this bass. Case is in good shape, all latches etc working, minor surface rubs.
