1970 Gibson EB 1 Electric Bass
This bass is no longer for sale (sold on 2008-09-26)
Price : US $1,525.
This auction is for a 1970 Gibson EB-1 Bass Guitar in USED condition. The neck, body, headstocks, pickup and electronic parts are all original. This guitar has some minor scratches that are typical of an instrument this old and it is also chipped on back of the body near the neck. It still plays VERY well. The frets are in really good shape. This bass guitar was recently adjusted by a professional luthier.
This model is a re-issue of Gibson's first electric bass, and originally called the Gibson Electric Bass, but commonly referred to as the EB-1 after the introduction of the EB-2. Violin shaped mahogany body, carved top, humbucking pickup, black bonnet knobs, standard right-angle tuners, exposed bridge, brown stained finish. Serial# 936526. A rectangular hard case is included (this is not the original Gibson case).
This bass is identical to the one used by Jack Bruce of Cream during reunion tour 2005. If you wish to own part of the Rock'n'Roll/Blues history, you cannot miss this auction.
