This auction is for a 5 String Neck Through Warwick Thumb Bass! Made before they started using cheaper materials! This is the real deal and should increase in value as the better ones become harder to acquire.
I am selling this because I own a 1988 6 String Thumb and a Vintage early ‘70s P-Bass. I am purchasing a fretless and need to raise cash. Of the 3 basses, I reluctantly chose this one to go.
1997 5 String Fretted Warwick Thumb Bass. Neck Through Bubinga Body with 7 Piece Bubinga/Wenge Neck. I was told by a bass authority that 1997 was one of the best years for Thumb Basses.
Brass Adjust-A-Nut (not plastic like the new ones) allows for individual string height adjustments and tone enhancement.
Controls are: Stacked Volume/Pickup Splitting Knob with Push for Active and Pull for Passive Sound, Mids Knob and Stacked Treble/Bass Knob with center detents.
18 Volt preamp with MEC Pickups.
Warwick Hard Shell Case. The can of wax is almost empty.
Low String action. This bass plays and sounds great!
