Up for auction is an ALEMBIC BASS ACTIVE ELECTRONICS harness. These are TOP OF THE LINE, STUDIO QUALITY, SUPER QUITE electronics. ALEMBIC is second to none and used by some of the industries top bass players. These electronics are VERY EXPENSIVE if you bought them from a music store or from Alembic.
The active electronics include two volume controls (one for each pickup), one ''Q'' tone control and the hook up for the 9-volt battery. The ''Q'' control has a unique tonal spectrum and offers a wider range of possibilities than a conventional tone control. This is a great sounding active electronic set up. I removed these from my 1987 alembic bass with a P - J set up years ago and upgraded with different alembic electronics. These have a two-pin plug in set up that you plug the pickups into. They work perfect with alembic pickups. They could probably work with other active pickups. I briefly hooked them up to a set of P-J EMGs and it really brought them to life. To be sure of your pickup compatability please contact the Alembic company. They worked perfect when I removed them and they have been kept in my closet until now.
