These basses get a lot of attention for their unique look, but anyone who has played one will probably tell you that the real secret to their success is that they play and sound great. Between the two humbucking pickups and the 4 band EQ, you have a wide range of tones available to you, but even set flat this bass delivers the goods.
This one is finished in the very cool Graphite Pearl and has the optional Abalone pickguard. The bass is in excellent shape. The only real blemish on it is at the very tip of the headstock where the finish has chipped off, which seems to be fairly common with these basses. I took an extreme closeup that actually makes it look much worse than it is, but I don't want any unpleasant surprises for anyone. There is also a slight irregularity in the finish on the back of the neck near the headstock. I couldn't photograph it, but it looks like it could have been caused by a guitar stand or hanger. This does not affect the playability in any way however.
