Lotus Headless Bass w/ Steinberger Licensed Bridge
This bass is no longer for sale (sold on 2009-01-10)
Price : US $202.50
You can have the fun and freedom of a Steinberger without the $1,200 price tag!
You are bidding on a Lotus headless bass with 24 frets made some time in the '80s. When I bought this bass about a year ago it had the ''Lotus'' logo/flower in gold on the body, but the guitar also had a neck that was heavily gouged on the backside. I took it to the famous Lay's Guitar Shop in Akron, OH and had them repair the neck and repaint the entire instrument. Now, even upon close inspection the neck is defect free and smooth as glass....the downside was the loss of the ''Lotus'' logo. The rosewood fretboard is in perfect shape and did not require any repair.
This is a player's bass with a great action and a big sound. When I bought the bass initially, I planned on swapping out the original pick-ups for something I thought would offer a higher output, but after playing it I realized that changing anything would have been a mistake...these pickups in a P/J arrangement provide a tone that's big, thick, and booming.
Steinberger licensed bridge/tuner and headstock. Bridge reads ''Licensed by Steinberger''
Besides having it repainted, the frets were re-done and the bass set-up by Lays. The neck is straight and true with a fast action.
Strap-Loks...plus a FREE strap (shown) that will make you stand out from the crowd
It comes with what I believe to be the original case - It's a little hammered, but it still
