Fender P-Bass Lyte Japan 1991
This bass is no longer for sale (sold on 2010-05-27)
Price : US $ 765
This lightweight guitar was owned by a female musician since she bought it new in 1993. It's been in storage for the past 12 years or so, untouched. The 9 volt battery was replaced by me this week. The serial is K008265. It's a light 7 pounds, 7 oz. and you could play it all day long with its smaller neck and body and yet it sounds as full as the very best bass guitars around. I've read reviews from musicians on the net claiming this is their preferred body style due to it's light weight without compromising anything in sound quality. With the EMG pickups, it really can't be beat!
The body has a few very minor blemishes that you'd have to look for to notice and a small spot on the back where an identifying mark was engraved could be sanded out and touched up without much effort. It's about 1.5 inches by a quarter inch. The gold plated hardware is slightly tarnished and one of the back covers is missing from a tuner. The original Fender case is included and has a few non-political bumper stickers on it. While the guitar is used, it is exceptionally clean and completely ready to perform for another 20 years.
(Price includes shipping to lower 48 USA)
Oh, almost forgot! I'm including three sets of pickups with the guitar including the EMGs that are installed. The other two: Original Fender (came new with the guitar), Seymour Duncan "Bass Lines". Plus, as an added bonus, the Korg Bass Tuner will be included as well. That's an added bonus of at least $300 value! (I can't be sure of exactly what model the SD pickups are, but they appear to be similar or identical to these that appear listed on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Seymour-Duncan-SPB-3-Quarter-Pound-STK-J2b-PJ-Bass-Set-/300425310204?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item45f2be6ffc the smaller ones have a sticker on the back, "3R" and the large one has a sticker on the back, "2BR". Original Fender knobs and pots (I assume) are in the box as well. The Bass Lines are selling new for $140 on eBay and I don't have a clue what the original Fender PUs would sell for.
