Alembic Series I Fretless Bass
Selling this gorgeous instrument for cash reasons only and it is difficult.  I have never found an instrument remotely comparable in terms of neck playability, intonation and tonal variety.  This classic came to me through my family so it is even harder.   Rest assured it has been treated extremely well though sadly played all too infrequently (2 gigs tops).

Scale length 34 inch
Thru body neck: 3 maple 2 purpleheart laminates
Fingerboard: ebony
Nut width:1 3/4 inch
24th fret width: 2 inch
Body depth: 1 1/2 inch
Finish: med gloss polyester
Pickups: SC-1 w/hx
Controls: vol, low-pass filter with 3-position Q switch for each pickup plus pu sel. switch
100% Made in USA (except the tuning pegs, W Germany)

Construction
Neck: 5 piece, single truss rod (old version).
Fingerboard: ebony with small sterling silver dots on the side of the fingerboard. Has the fret markings, perhaps it was once fretted?
Body: maple (I think) body with beautiful 1/4' thick burly maple top and back.
Hardware
Bridge: Adjustable on 1/2 pound brass sustain block inset into the body. On back handmade solid brass plate and small square brass plate for two nine volt batteries.
Machine heads: Chrome Schaller
Strap buttons: Alembic (chrome).
Outputs: 1/4' stereo phone jack, five pin XLR for use with exter
