8111 GTX Bass
Another sad case of it no longer being economically viable to make finely crafted instruments in the USA, these fine basses are no longer in production. Designed alongside Hamer’s top-quality instruments of the early 90s, (the distinctive headstock immediately identifies it as a quality Hamer product), we believe this great fullscale bass was crafted at the company’s Chicago plant shortly before the parent company shifted production overseas. If nothing else, this truly awesome full scale bass lives on as a reminder of just how good GTX were while they lasted.
Over-strength stabilized rock maple neck with pre-tensioned truss-rod, hand-seated frets, airbrushed finish, hand-wired electrics, super-clean KMD pickups, (bridge humbucker and split single-coil at the neck). Not only is this is a fine looking bass, but the neck is fast, the action is great, and the pickups deliver real punch. The black hardware perfectly matches the grey and white airbrushed body, making for one seriously good looking bass. At first we thought the fretboard was mahogany, but we now believe it to be very dark, premium-grade rosewood – it’s amazing!
this auction is for used bass, the back plate is missing the wires in no connected Has a few very minor marks, a tiny chip in the bottom position check the pics also is missing 1 button sound, you can play it but is misssing and two stickers added --check the pics---
