1985 PEDULLA BUZZ BASS
Purchased personally from Michael Pedulla at the ’85
NAMM show, this is an exquisite one-owner bass. She’s been kept in a
smoke-free home, used only for recording, never gigged with, and
therefore in near time-capsule condition.
If you’ve ever played or heard one of these you know as far as fretless
basses, they’re one of the finest.
Check out any album by Mark Egan to hear the amazing sound of this bass.
Bartonlini J/P setup for maximum flexibility. With it’s highly
polished epoxied ebony fretboard, the Buzz bass was designed to provide
all the benefits of fretless: sliding into notes, growling, and an upright
“mmmwahhh” attack - plus as the ability to slap! Neck-thru
construction for ultimate sustain – and boy, does it ring on those Jaco harmonics!
Active/passive electronics. This bass can sound like whatever bass you
want it to sound like.
From the Pedulla website:
on the unique design that first brought M.V. Pedulla to prominence, the
Buzz (fretless) basses combine hard-hitting tone with player-friendly
ergonomics, making it a favorite for the stage and studio alike.
Featuring neck-through body construction for superb sustain and tone,
plus a sleek and facile neck shape, and ebony fingerboard. The
ergonomic design includes a deep cutaway on the treble side for easy
access to all 24 frets, and an extended bass-side
