This is an Alvarez 5 String Bass Guitar that I bought new about a year ago for my recording studio. It has only been used a few times for recording purposes and kept in the soft case I am including in this auction. I am a drummer, not a bass player, so bear with me please.. This axe has the 22 fret neck with rosewood fretboard, deep double cutaway for the higher notes with added playing comfort, Double pickups which I believe are active??, 3 tone control knobs in black, wing style tuning pegs and last but not least the quilted maple top with the red lacquer stain that is astonishing. For the price range, this bass guitar is beautiful and my buddy who played it is a pro, and said it has great action for about any style of music, nice setup on the neck and awesome for slapping out funk. If you are looking for a 5 string and don't have a ton of cash to work with, this is really the best bass on the market for the money, in my opinion.. Any questions please email me anytime. I have this exact same bass (color and everything). I paid $300 (new) back in 2000 and the value was tremendous. It has gotten me through three bands over ten years. Only now I am looking for something new, but I will always keep this bass.
